READ, WATCH THE LATEST PARISH PRESIDENT'S REPORT

Post Date:October 04, 2017 9:00 a.m.
In this report
  • St. Charles Parish is seeking information related to two seperate incidents of vandalism of government property.

On Sept. 22, vandals broke into the facility next to the Luling Oxidation Pond, destroyed windows and stole cans of spray paint, wasp spray and light bulbs.

On Sept. 26 vandals damaged a wharf and spraypainted graffiti on the side of a facility at the Wetland Watchers Park in Norco.

This is not the first time this year that vandalism has occurred on government property. In June, a nearly-completed section of the West Bank Hurricane Protection Levee in Luling was damaged from the use of unauthorized atvs which resulted in the parish having to re-seed the grass. Grass provides support and serves as ‘the glue’ for levees.
