Post Date:June 29, 2018 11:50 AM

St. Charles Parish President Larry Cochran dined with employees who received perfect attendance for 2017 at the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center in Luling on June 28.

Wastewater employee George Hill read an original poem to those in attendance. Hill's poem is as follows:

SCP Palms

The bar's set
On average
for the Patrons
of St. Charles Parish
Government’s built
by Good Men
Hunting, Fishing, Boating, Loving
Americans
Here We Are
took many years
Gauche, Des Allemands, Paradis
blood sweat tears
We Survived
very high standards
of humble Means
and good Manners
Governmental Institutions
promoted, by the State
Drainage and Sewage
we make great
Lake to the River
We’re it’s owners
Ama, Luling, Boutte
Hahnville, Kilona
it took
a bridge and river
St. Charles Parish
must deliver
A likely Scene
times of Emergence
EB and WB United
into Civil Servants
Sixty One to Ninety
Steel stretching Arms
grips the parish
in it’s palms
Thursday whistle blows
it’s lunch
we all hear
St. Rose, Destrehan, Norco, Montz
a Generation unknowing
Lucille and Mabeline
the future parish of
Twenty Eighteen
Paris Courthouse
and Bridgepark Cares
we figured out
