ST. CHARLES PARISH WATER RECOGNIZED AS BEST TASTING IN REGION
A sample of water taken from the west bank of St. Charles Parish was named the best tasting water in the South Central Region on March 14.
The South Central Region includes the parishes of Assumption, St. James, St. John, St. Mary, Lafourche and Terrebonne. The officers of the region choose the winners.
The sample is set to compete at the state level next week at the annual Louisiana Conference on Water Supply, Sewerage, and Industrial Wastes, Inc in Baton Rouge. In addition to the South Central Region, the statewide contest includes Northwest, Northeast, Central, Lake Area, Southwest, Capital, and Southeast regions
