4-H HOSTING COLOR RUN ON FEBRUARY 24

4-HSt. Charles Parish 4-H will be hosting a 1-mile color run and fair on Feb. 24 at R.K. Smith Middle School, 281 Judge Edward Dufresne Parkway in Luling.

The schedule for the “Color Me Healthy” run and health fair is as follows:  

  • 8 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. - Race
  • 8 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. - Cooking Registration (4-H Only)
  • 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. - Health Fair
  • 9 a.m. - Color Fun Run
  • 11 a.m. - Cooking Awards (4-H Only)

Race Registration
The color run fees are $7 which includes water and race entry bracelet or $15 which includes water, bracelet, t-shirt, and an individual color packet to throw as extra color at the end of the race.

Registration will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday though Friday until Feb. 22 at the LSU AgCenter Office at 1313 Paul Maillard Road, Suit E Luling, LA 70087 or email KZammit@agcenter.lsu.edu. Participants may also register the day of the race. In order to be guaranteed a shirt, participants must register before Feb. 9.

This is a service-learning and fundraising event sponsored by the St. Charles Parish 4-H Jr. Leader Club. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the club. For more information call (985) 785-4473.
