First Event will Benefit Local Food Pantry

Post Date:December 27, 2017 9:36 AM

Beginning Jan. 6, Anytime Fitness in Destrehan will be launching The Anytime Destrehan Outreach Team: a program created with the mission to reach out to the St. Charles Parish community by promoting wellness through movement. The gym will hold fundraisers, awareness campaigns and volunteer opportunities as part of the program.

The first event will be a fundraiser for the Matthew 25:35 Food Pantry, a program that feeds more than 250 families each week, run by the United Methodist Church in Destrehan. The Anytime Fitness Team will lead a Megaclass consisting of various exercise programs to raise funds for and create awareness of the pantry.

This Megaclass is open to the public and one can register onsite at Anytime Fitness Destrehan, 1955 Ormond Blvd, or call 985-307-1425. The minimum donation is $5 to participate. The class will take place on Saturday, January 6th from 8:30 a.m. -9:45 a.m. and participants should bring a towel/mat and two canned goods to be used as weights.
